Her Story

A life given to
faith, learning and service

Ambassador Princess Onyinye Gift Uwaechia holds three offices at once, and each one asks something different of her. She is Executive President of Living Christ Mission Inc., Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Hezekiah University, and the founder of the Onyinyeomachukwu Empowerment Foundation.

Her scholarship sits beneath all of it. She holds a PhD, Political Science — University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and has published peer-reviewed work on governance, education, human trafficking, electoral violence and security in Nigeria — the same questions her philanthropy answers in practice.

In October 2022 the Federal Republic of Nigeria named her a Member of the Order of the Niger. She serves as a United Nations Eminent Peace Ambassador, and in May 2025 the Students Union of her alma mater, the University of Nigeria Nsukka, conferred a double honour on her — a recognition from the academic community that formed her.

We believe that transformation is possible when people have access to the necessary resources and opportunities, hence our unwavering commitment to impactful philanthropy.— Onyinyeomachukwu Empowerment Foundation
